Martin is going though this stage *prayers it is just a stage*, where he is asserting his independence by bossing everyone and everything around, everything has to be done his way and when he wants it or else we have meltdown central in our lounge. So as you can tell a good portion of every day is filled with tears. Some of it is cute, some of it is just a pain in my behind....
- First bossy thing he does is that he needs his 'privacy'. His Aunt and Uncle pretty much live in their rooms with the doors closed, so now every time Martin enters a room he will shut the door behind him and stand at the door so that no one can get through, and if you try he pushes against it and yells at you. The same goes for leaving, we quite often hear "NO AUNTIE YOU CAN'T GO OUTSIDE, JUST STAY HERE!!!!", and boy can he get loud.
- I am no longer allowed to make trips to the bathroom by myself, but not for the reason that you would think, it isn't because he is interested in the potty but because he wants to hug my belly and talk to the baby, AND because I am not allowed to pull my own pants up, that's his job. Needless to say there has been a LOT of bribery to distract him while I sneak off to the loo!
- Mummy HAS to drive. No matter whose car we are getting into, if I am not in the drivers seat then he will sit in the car and cry for a good 5 minutes.
